Established in 1883, a sawmill in Korbel, California has been through various ownership changes and expansions—including ceasing operations temporarily in 2015 before being sold to Trinity River Lumber Co. in 2016. Today, the North Fork Lumber Co. operates the sawmill, employing over 100 people and supporting jobs in the North Coast forest industry. NFLC contracted Site Assembly to help bring its vision of being proud of where you work into its new website, creating a rebranded experience that carries its legacy while bringing the Mill into the modern era.

The NFLC website was built on WordPress and includes a number of custom-built software solutions such as a fully-integrated Job Application workflow that embeds with legacy systems while enhancing the user experience on the frontend until further upgrades can be made. North Fork Lumber Company relies on a custom cloud infrastructure and advanced AI automations to remain ahead of the misunderstood Milling narrative.
